Awards and Accomplishments:
In 2009
a. Formed the first Women in Engineering group in
Bahrain, and became a member of the committee of Gulf Women Engineers who took
the responsibility of several functions at the IEEE GCC conference in Kuwait.
b. Started implementing the approach published in the 2008 Transactions
paper in instruction, and was offered the post of Dean of Information
Technology at the Royal University for Women.
In 2008
a. Elevated to Senior member status by IEEE, the Institute for Electrical
and Electronic Engineers based upon at least 5 years significant achievement in
the field of computer sc.
b. Biography appears as a distinguished educator in Marquis Who's who in
the World (Silver Edition 25th Anniversary).
c. Established a new approach to presenting information to University
students based upon the paper published in the IEEE Transactions on Education
(refer below to no. 6 and was granted written support from the Supreme Council
for Women to implement this new approach.

a. International Educator of the Year Award 11th July, 2007 for
the significant contribution of Cognitively Informed Systems, by The

b. Biography appears as a distinguished educator in Marquis Who's who in
the World.
In 2006
a. Science Day Award given by HRH Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Alkhalifa, the
Prime Minister of Bahrain for outstanding educational achievement, for the PhD
degree level.
b. Brought the original SAT exams to the campus of the University of
Bahrain and supervised the administration of the test
c. Obtained a unique TOEFL identification number for the University of
Bahrain to receive direct grade transfers from the USA when students take the
test at any testing center in the world.
d. Designed the strategy plan for the Deanship of Admissions and Registration
and presented it to the University Council.

Examined a Masters student
studying at the Information System Department, Massey University, New Zealand.
In 2003
Was appointed by her highness Shaikha Sabika bint Ebrahim as a member on a special purpose Committee of
Research and Studies in the Women’s Supreme Council –Kingdom of Bahrain under
the chairmanship of Dr. Fatma Albalooshi.
